Second is an obelisk candle holder that I’ve had for a number of years. Originally, it was gold and brown. You know how I feel about brown, especially with gold!
Here are a few ideas to quickly and easily update some decor pieces you probably already have in your home.
First up is a decorative mirror that was given to me some years ago. I believe originally the mirror was gold, then someone painted it red & gold, then I painted it brown, probably 15 years ago. I am not a fan of brown these days and this piece was dusty and drab and needed to be freshened up!
They have pages & pages of wallpaper designs on the list with prices ranging from just under $25.00 per single roll, to some priced at more than $400.00 per single roll and even some papers that are priced by the yard! I’ve tried to include both a broad range of prices and designs for you here.
Keep in mind that a little wallpaper can go a long way depending on where & how it’s placed. For instance, wallpaper can be applied to one wall in order to create an accent or feature wall, like this;
Wallpaper can be applied to the ceiling, inside of a bookcase, or even a breakfast nook. This “North.Hem in Midnight Blue from Ralph Lauren” would look fabulous on the ceiling of a child’s bedroom don’t you think?
Here’s a quick tip about painting with red paint; you need to use a tinted primer first!

Its only been a few years since I stenciled the interiors but they just never looked quite right. They were too dark and everything displayed on the shelves looked drab; nothing popped.

We recently began design work on a master bathroom renovation. The clients have a casual, rustic country style and are not afraid of color. The previous owners of the home had a Scandinavian & somewhat contemporary style with hardly any color on the walls.
